The West La. Forestry Festival is held annually during the first full week of October and features rides and shows by The Mighty Thomas Carnival.
Other events include:
- West La. Forestry Festival Queen Pageant and Junior King/Queen Paqeant,
- 4-H Horse Show and Livestock Show,
- 4-H Woodsman Skills Contest,
- Vernon Parish Senior Citizens Day, and the
- Leesville Lions Club Rodeo.
The festival also offers food from eight, local service organizations, exhibits, and vendors.
